. They have even acquired Nayef Norgard, Flynn Downs, Gianluca Skamacca and Maxwell Cornet, as well as previously bought out Alphonse Areola.

Brugge’s vice-captain, Vanaken led the side on numerous occasions last term and is a veteran of five Champions League campaigns, scoring against PSG, RB Leipzig and Manchester City in last season’s group stage.

West Ham are reportedly keen to bring Thilo Kehrer and Emerson Palmery to join the squad before the transfer window closes. Grab Wanaken while the players themselves are interest in joining the team.

The report says David Moyes is keen to bring in Vanaken to add experience to the squad to replace the departures of Mark Noble, Ryan Fredericks and Andre Yarmolenko.

The 29-year-old scored nine goals and provided nine assists in 33 appearances in the Belgian top-flight last season. Plus, this season, he played 90 minutes in all 3 games.
